Yawan Wayeni Shot Dead By Indonesian Police in Serui

Serui, [opeem] - A member of TPN/OPM region Serui, Yawan Wayeni (39) shot dead by Indonesian Police of Yapen Island at 4.00 A.M, Monday morning. His body found at garden near Mantembu village after Indonesian Police shot at stomach and foot.

Our informan in Serui said, Indonesian Police very brutal on attach. Many residents of local indigenous people escaped to the juggle. The TPN/OPM region Ferdinand Worobay said, the coloniser Indonesia is our enemy, so are West Papua people. We will fihgt for our independence, add Worobay told to the informan.

The body of Yawan has been buried last night (Monday Night). The wife and the child of Yawan were kept by police and still questioned.

Meanwhile, Victor F. Yeimo, chariman of West Papua National Committee in Jayapura said that it was long political conflic between West Papua people and Indonesia with it's militaty forces.

"The conflict will result in casualties of many peoples of Papua. the international side must take the action towards the practice of the colonisation that was carried out by Indonesiain West Papua", said Victor.
